Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
Anyone have experience buying from NC Repo Zone? Thinking about checking out their next auction, but a little nervous about the whole repo thing.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
Yeah, I've been to a few NC Repo Zone auctions. It's pretty typical for a repo auction. Definetly go check the cars yourself before bidding. They usually let you look them over for a bit. Their website is ncrepozone.com. They have a decent selection usually.

The title process can sometimes be a lil' slow, just FYI. Make sure you understand NC's title transfer rules. NC Repo Zone generally provides clean titles, but things can take a few weeks. Always confirm with them. You can call them at +1 866-930-3429 for any questions.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
I went to one last year. The auctioneer was fast. Real fast. Made some mistakes bidding honestly. Ended up with a car that needed more work than I thought. Lesson learned: inspect, inspect, inspect! They do let you start the cars, which is a plus.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
As a mechanic, I've looked at some cars from NC Repo Zone. Always check for frame damage, especially on trucks! The inspection period is vital. Check the fluids, brakes, and undercarriage. Don't assume anything. I often offer pre-purchase inspections. Make sure you know what you're buying.

I got a great deal on a used minivan a few months ago. It needed some minor work, but saved a ton compared to a regular dealer. Be prepared for cash or certified funds. Financing options are limited, but you might find options.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
NC Repo Zone is alright for flipping. Prices aren't always the lowest, but they consistent and the cars usually aren't too bad. The biggest risk is always undisclosed damage. I always run a vehicle history report before I bid on a vehicle. Have to be quick.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
I recently emailed info@ncrepozone.com with questions and got a fast reply. Their customer service is pretty good. Helpful, even. Better than some dealers I've dealt with.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
Just be aware: fees can add up. Buyer's premiums, storage fees if you don't take the car right away, and sometimes other hidden costs. Read the fine print! Make sure you factor those fees into your bidding.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
My experience wasn't great. Bought a car that supposedly had a clean title, but it had a lien. Took forever to sort out. NC Repo Zone helped eventually, but it was a pain. Ask about title issues before you bid.

If you're looking for a specific make or model, NC Repo Zone can be a good option. I got lucky and found an older sports car there a couple months ago. Really happy with it!

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
I got burned bad once at a repo auction. The seller refused to make it good. No recourse. It was a learning experience.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
Financing can be tough for repo cars. Banks are hesitant. You might get a personal loan, but the interest may be higher. Check with your bank or credit union ahead of time to see your options.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
NC Repo Zone's cars mostly seem decent. They allow for a pre-purchase inspection, which is super important. The more you know about a car before bidding, the better. Thoroughly check all key systems.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
Compared to other repo auctions I've been to in the region, NC Repo Zone is usually pretty well organized. They have a consistent schedule, and the staff is generally helpful if you need help.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
I've been buying cars from NC Repo Zone for years. Overall, it's usually a pretty good experience. You need to be prepared to walk away. There are a couple things I've learned the hard way. First one is, go see the car yourself. Photos can be deceiving. Second, be sure that you have cash or have made arrangements for payment beforehand. Third, if you have questions, don't hesitate to email info@ncrepozone.com and they are always happy to help.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
Do your homework before you go. Look up the cars ahead of time. See what similar models are selling for. Don't overpay just because you 'want' the car. NC Repo Zone often has a variety of vehicles.

Re: Experiences with NC Repo Zone Auctions
I'd recommend NC Repo Zone. They helped me fix a title issue I had with a car. They may be on the phone at +1 866-930-3429 to walk you through the process.
